The government of the United States is a pawn of
large energy corporations. These powerful corporations spend
enough money to put their CEO's and Directors into positions of
power in government, in order to direct government policies to the
advantage of the corporations from which they came, and to which
they will return after "serving" in political office.
The War Against Terrorism is really just a war FOR certain
corporations, and the expansion of government power.
If these statements sound like the ravings of a radical
extremist or conspiracy theorist, they are not. Rather, they are
the conclusions drawn (but not well publicized) by mainstream
journalists and political scientists. Here are some of them:

but they were found first in the mainstream media (links
included).
America's foreign policy cannot be relegated to the
"experts" behind closed doors in the State Department.
Americans must return to the idea of self-government and
"consent of the governed." This means Americans must
become informed on the most pressing issues of our day and put
pressure on their elected representatives to do the right thing.
