Kosovo, Chechnya, Afghanistan: The U.S./Islamic-Oil Connection

The government of the United States is a pawn of large energy corporations. These powerful corporations spend enough money to put their CEO's and Directors into positions of power in government, in order to direct government policies to the advantage of the corporations from which they came, and to which they will return after "serving" in political office. The War Against Terrorism is really just a war FOR certain corporations, and the expansion of government power.

If these statements sound like the ravings of a radical extremist or conspiracy theorist, they are not. Rather, they are the conclusions drawn (but not well publicized) by mainstream journalists and political scientists. Here are some of them:

Afghanistan Oil and Gas Pipeline
A "mujahideen" source, with many links to mainstream sources.
Afghanistan is Key to Oil Profits
Check the footnotes.
Background to the Russian assault on Chechnya: a power struggle over Caspian Oil
This is a socialist source, but note the quotes from mainstream sources.
Disturbing Information, the Good Kind
OK, here are the "extremist conspiracy theories," but they were found first in the mainstream media (links included).

America's foreign policy cannot be relegated to the "experts" behind closed doors in the State Department. Americans must return to the idea of self-government and "consent of the governed." This means Americans must become informed on the most pressing issues of our day and put pressure on their elected representatives to do the right thing.
