The
110th Congress should:
- resist demands to confiscate money
from Asian-Americans (who immigrated here after the abolition
of slavery) and give their money to African-Americans who are
immeasurably better off in America than they would have been
had their ancestors remained in Africa.
- resist demands to confiscate money
from people whose ancestors were not owners of slaves and
redistribute it to people whose ancestors were not slaves.
- resist demands to confiscate money
from anyone and redistribute it to anyone else.
- Increasing numbers of illegal aliens are demanding
reparations in the form of the return of California,
Arizona, New Mexico, and other Western states to "Aztlan"
-- Mexico. If it could be shown that the United States
confiscated these properties under force or fraud, a
legitimate case might be made for the return of these states
to Mexico. But what claim do the illegal aliens have on
- Hoover
Dam, which generates electricity for L.A and Phoenix;
- the family farms in the
San Joaquin Valley, the most productive in the world,
- trillions of dollars of commercial and suburban
real estate development,
- Silicon
Valley, technology capital of the world,
- and Hollywood
?
- OK, they can have Hollywood.
