The 108th Congress should:
- eliminate all references to "race" in census
forms, student loans, government contracts, and other
government laws where such references require government or
its contractors to prefer one race, gender, or religion over
another, or deny equal rights to any because of race, gender
or religion.
Restaurant owners are not allowed to refuse to serve patrons
because of their race or nationality, but consumers are allowed to
refuse to patronize restaurants because of the nationality or
ethnic origin of the food served. Is this
"discrimination?" Should the federal government require
"diet diversity" by compelling Americans to eat Italian
food in the same percentage as the ethnic make-up of America?
Should Americans be required to date people of other sexual
preferences before they are issued a license to marry one of their
own?
Individuals should be allowed to discriminate, and government
should not require reverse discrimination to negate such
discrimination.
