The 108th Congress should
- recognize the conflict of interest inherent in its writing
campaign finance regulations,
- reject proposals to further regulate campaign financing,
- remove the current limits on campaign contributions, and
- reduce opportunities for corruption by restoring
constitutional limits on government.
Legislators must take an oath to "support the
Constitution." An oath is supposed to be a solemn promise
made in the presence of God. Many legislators today are admitting
that they can't be trusted to keep their solemn oath if someone
gives them money to violate it.
