The Peace Mandate

President Bush says Islam is a "religion of peace."
Christians say Christianity justifies war.
It's a crazy world.

  1. (Matthew 5:9) Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
  2. (Luke 6:27-28) But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, {28} Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
  3. (Luke 1:77-79) To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, {78} Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, {79} To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
  4. (Luke 2:14) Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
  5. (Hebrews 12:14) Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
  22. (Isaiah 26:12) O LORD, you will ordain peace for us, for indeed, all that we have done, you have done for us.
