If you're really a spy from the Southern Poverty Law Center or some other anti-Right "watchdog" organization, looking for some secret messages to right-wing extremists, you might as well have clicked the "Left-Winger" jump, because you would have found out that I was a regular columnist for the Chalcedon Foundation, that arch-rightwing "think-tank" for the "Religious Right." You would have been able to guess that I am actually far to the right of Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell, advocating "theocracy" and defending the notion that America is a "Christian Nation."
But here you are, reading the "right-winger" page. What bothers me is that you are so paranoid about "right-wingers" that you are ignoring what's going on in the Clinton Administration. You're so upset about Tim McVeigh's alleged bombing of a Federal Building in Oklahoma City that you were completely silent back in 1990 when George Bush (who, to your relief, was not as "conservative" as Ronald Reagan) was threatening to bomb hundreds of Federal Buildings in Baghdad. Only the "extremist" Pat Buchanan was saying anything against U.S. military involvement in the Mideast. Well, the blood of half a million innocent Iraqis is on your hands, not the far right's. We all spoke out against the "New World Order," but you leftists were silent.
You continue to find a militia man under every rock, while across the world the "New World Order" solidifies its control. The crimes of the militia can be numbered on one hand. But the liberals in governments across the globe have commanded or permitted the murder of hundreds of millions. Read Prof. R.J. Rummel's book, Death by Government.
When my grandchildren look back on the last half of the 20th century, I will be glad that I was a "right-wing extremist." They will know that I did not advocate bombing or killing as a tactic of social change, and they will know that I did not remove prayer and the Bible from public schools in the name of "tolerance." They will know that I wanted minority groups to be free, productive, and independent, even as liberalism dumbed them down and made them wards of the State. And if the "New World Order" plunges us into darkness and Naziism, I will be proud to have opposed liberalism throughout my life, as it should have been opposed throughout the last three centuries.
Nevertheless, I hope that you won't stop reading just because you defend the suppression of liberty in the name of "liberalism." I would like to suggest that if you are consistent with the best of your ideals, and discard the worst, you will be ready for a right-wing world under God's Law. You will embrace the ideals of "Vine & Fig Tree." Let me share a new way of looking at this:
The John Birch Society has long criticized the "left-right" distinction. On the "left" is totalitarian communism, which is responsible for the murder of millions. On the "right" is totalitarian fascism, which I know you oppose. Yet the best example of totalitarian fascism is Naziism, which was a socialist, or leftist movement. Both of these extremes are violent and totalitarian. Both of these extremes represent maximum dictatorship and minimum personal liberty. Where would anarchism be placed on this left-right scale: in the middle? Preposterous!
Isn't there a left wing which opposes violence and totalitarianism? Those who opposed U.S. involvement in the World Wars were called right-wing "isolationists." Aren't there left-wingers who opposed both the New World Order of Lyndon Johnson and Robert Strange McNamara as well as the New World Order of the Viet Cong and the Khmer Rouge? Did you know that the John Birch Society believes that the bombing of Hiroshima was unnecessary? Why did your liberal Democrat President True-man use nuclear weapons on civilians? Why have liberal Democrats been involved in so many wars in this century? Why do liberals speak out against war only when the enemy is a left-wing military socialist regime?
I believe that what unites left and right is the desire for peace or the desire for military dictatorship. If you are a left-winger or a right-winger who loves destruction and government dictatorship, you will not find this web site very enjoyable. But if you are looking for peace, you will only find it in the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ. It is my prayer that you will find Him on this web site, whether you are a radical "left-winger" or a right-wing "extremist."
