DAY 5
Isaiah 42:1-7

"Behold! My Servant whom I uphold, My Elect One in whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice to the Gentiles. Lord, I give you thanks for Jesus Your Servant. I give thanks that You delight in Him, and have put Your Spirit upon Him to fulfill the prophecy of Isaiah (Matthew 12:17-21). Bring forth justice to the lawyers.
{2} He will not cry out, nor raise His voice, Nor cause His voice to be heard in the street.{3} A bruised reed He will not break, And smoking flax He will not quench; He will bring forth justice for truth. {17} That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, {18} Behold My Servant, whom I have chosen; My Beloved, in Whom My soul is well pleased: I will put My Spirit upon him, and He shall show judgment to the Gentiles. {19} He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear His voice in the streets. {20} A bruised reed shall He not break, and smoking flax shall He not quench, till He send forth justice unto victory. {21} And in His Name shall the Gentiles trust.
{4} He will not fail nor be discouraged, Till He has established justice in the earth; And the coastlands shall wait for His law." Let the words of this petition send Your justice and bring victory. Replace my discouragement with His confidence. Establish Your Law in our courts. We are waiting for Your Law.
{5} Thus says God the LORD, Who created the heavens and stretched them out, Who spread forth the earth and that which comes from it, Who gives breath to the people on it, And spirit to those who walk on it: LORD, You are the Creator, but the Humanists believe they are gods. You gave them breath and life; give them understanding.
{6} "I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness, And will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, As a light to the Gentiles, I thank you that You have opened my eyes to Your Righteousness. Let this petition be a light to those in darkness. I need You to hold my hand.
{7} To open blind eyes, To bring out prisoners from the prison, Those who sit in darkness from the prison house. Thank You for sending Your Son to be the Mediator of a better covenant, a light in our self-imposed darkness, to lead us to liberty
Luke 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
{17} And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
{18} The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
{19} To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
{20} And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
{21} And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.
{22} And all bare him witness, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth. And they said, Is not this Joseph's son?
