To lose weight and have better health |
To increase my alertness to the Scriptural promptings of

To be strong in the Lord and fruitful for His glory |
8. To read Christian biographies |
To be encouraged by learning that they failed, too |
To discover the disciplines that God used in making their
lives fruitful |
9. To memorize chapters of Scripture |
To be able to quote them |
To engraft them into my mind, will, and emotions |
10. To get under God-given authority |
To let others take the responsibility for my decisions |
To confirm God's direction and avoid destructive temptations |
11. To tithe from each paycheck |
To have God bless my finances |
To grow in faith and meet the needs of God's work |
12. To have assurance of salvation |
To never fear God's judgment |
To go on to the deeper truths of the Christian life |
13. To be totally dedicated to God's will |
To make up for the failures in my past |
To allow the power of Christ's Spirit to work through my life |
14. To be accountable to others |
To have them keep pressure on me |
To remind me that I should be just as aware of my
accountability to God |
15. To put Scripture truths on my walls |
To let others know that I'm seeking God |
To be daily reminders of spiritual responsibility |
16. To have a continual awareness that God is watching and
weighing every thought, word, and action |
To turn every conversation into "spiritual" talk |
To grow in wisdom and to give others a hunger and thirst for
God's truth |
