Gen 18:19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him. "Justice" in the life of Abraham is defined by God's Word:
Genesis 26:4-5 And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; {5} Because that Abraham obeyed My voice, and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.

God's commandments, not our metaphors

Deu 33:21 And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel. In this chapter Moses blesses the tribes, always in terms of God's Word:
Deuteronomy 33:2-4, 9-10 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. {3} Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words. {4} Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob.{9} Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant. {10} They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.
2Sa 8:15 And David reigned over all Israel; and David executed judgment and justice unto all his people. And what was the standard of justice for David? Where did he find God's judgments? See Psalm 119 for an example.
2Sa 15:4 Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which hath any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice! Absalom was a liar and a demogogue. Believing that Absalom would do justice is like believing Clinton would "reinvent government."
2 Samuel 17:14  For the LORD had appointed to . . . bring evil upon Absalom.
1Ki 10:9 Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee, to set thee on the throne of Israel: because the LORD loved Israel for ever, therefore made he thee king, to do judgment and justice. These are the words of the Queen of Sheba, FWIW.
1Ch 18:14 So David reigned over all Israel, and executed judgment and justice among all his people. Did David make up "justice" according to what appeared good in his own eyes, or did he follow God's Law? Psalm 119.
2Ch 9:8 Blessed be the LORD thy God, which delighted in thee to set thee on his throne, to be king for the LORD thy God: because thy God loved Israel, to establish them for ever, therefore made he thee king over them, to do judgment and justice. Once again, the words of the Queen of Sheba. Not that she's wrong, but the Standard of justice is God's Word, not the imaginations of men.
Psa 82:3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do tsadaq to the afflicted and needy. Psa 19:9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and tsadaq altogether.
Psa 89:14 Tsedeq and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face. Lev 19:36 Tsedeq balances, Tsedeq weights, a Tsedeq ephah, and a Tsedeq hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.
In 1964 a dime or a quarter was made out of silver. After 1965, they are made out of copper. This in unjust, and specifically prohibited in the U.S. Constitution, but no one loves justice anymore, because justice is only found in God's Word, but that doesn't allow us to be our own gods. We prefer to make our own standards of justices, our own standards of weights and measures, because this allows us to steal from our neighbor with impunity.
Psa 119:121 I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors. This whole Pslam is about God's Word. Justice is defined by the Bible, not our own imaginations.
Pro 1:3 To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, and judgment, and equity; Proverbs 1:28-31 "Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me. {29} Because they hated knowledge And did not choose the fear of the LORD, {30} They would have none of my counsel And despised my every rebuke. {31} Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, And be filled to the full with their own fancies.

Modern man rejects the Scripture as the Standard of justice. Therefore we are full of "fancies."

Pro 8:15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. ALL kings decree justice?

Proverbs 8:35-36 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. {36} But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

Some princes will not find God's Word; some kings love death

Pro 21:3 To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice. Capital punishment is an easy sacrifice. Much easier than sacrificing our own time, labor, and money to restore a criminal.
Ecc 5:8 If thou seest the oppression of the poor, and violent perverting of judgment and justice in a province, marvel not at the matter: for he that is higher than the highest regardeth; and there be higher than they. How do we know if something is unjust or oppressive if we discard the Standard of Justice (the Bible)?
Isa 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. The prophesied Messiah was subject to the Word of God:
John 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
Isa 56:1 Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed. The Prophets were rooted and grounded in God's Word, not their own imaginations:
Isa 56, the same chapter, v.7:  Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
Micah 4:2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
Isa 58:2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways, as a nation that did righteousness, and forsook not the ordinance of their God: they ask of me the ordinances of justice; they take delight in approaching to God. They don't approach their own clever metaphors or sophisticated philosophy. Justice is simple; it comes from God's Word.
Isa 59:4 None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity. Justice is far from modern man because modern man loves to sin. Modern Man loves to make up his own law as he goes along. No one who rejects the Scripture can know justice.
Isa 59:9 Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.
Isaiah 59:12-13 For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them; {13} In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.
Isa 59:14 And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.
Jer 22:15 Shalt thou reign, because thou closest thyself in cedar? did not thy father eat and drink, and do judgment and justice, and then it was well with him? Jer 22:17 But thine eyes and thine heart are not but for thy covetousness, and for to shed innocent blood, and for oppression, and for violence, to do it.
Jer 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth. Jer 23:16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Hearken not unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.
Jer 31:23 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in the cities thereof, when I shall bring again their captivity; The LORD bless thee, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness. The Word of GOD, not man, is the "habitation of justice."
Jer 50:7 All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the LORD, the habitation of justice, even the LORD, the hope of their fathers.
Eze 45:9 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Let it suffice you, O princes of Israel: remove violence and spoil, and execute judgment and justice, take away your exactions from my people, saith the Lord GOD.
