We Live in a Secularist Theocracy

That's why the Marxist vision of man without God must eventually be seen as an empty and a false faith--the second oldest in the world--first proclaimed in the Garden of Eden with whispered words of temptation: "Ye shall be as gods." The crisis of the Western world, Whittaker Chambers reminded us, exists to the degree in which it is indifferent to God. "The Western world does not know it," he said about our struggle, "but it already possesses the answer to this problem--but only provided that its faith in God and the freedom He enjoins is as great as communism's faith in man."
Ronald Reagan, Remarks at the Conservative Political Action Conference Dinner March 20, 1981, Public Papers of the Presidents, 1981, p. 278.
The third moral error of political liberalism is solipsism. According to this notion human beings make themselves, belong to themselves, and have value in and of themselves; according to Christianity they are made by God, belong to Him, and have value because they are loved by Him and made in His image. "Your eyes shall be opened," said the serpent, "and ye shall be as gods." Solipsism holds that we already are.
J. Budziszewski. "The Problem With Liberalism," First Things: A Monthly Journal of Religion and Public Life

Vine & Fig Tree publications advocate "Theocracy." The word comes from two Greek words meaning "God rules."

By definition, we now live in a secular theocracy. This theocracy does not believe in the God of the Bible. But it is no less religious than Christianity. It is no less theocratic than the Puritans.

Secular Humanism is a religion. Find out more here.

The god in the Secular Humanist religion is man. The Serpent told Adam and Eve, "Ye shall be as gods, determining good and evil for yourselves." In the religion of Humanism, Man occupies the place of God in Christianity. A society whose government is based on the tenets of the religion of Humanism is a Humanist Theocracy. "God rules" is the equivalent of "Man rules."
