God is Making Me More

Industrious

Diligent in business or study; constantly, regularly, or habitually occupied in business; assiduous; opposed to slothful and idle.

Webster's 1st ed., 1828

I am habitually industrious and get things done. My attitude is always "will do!" as well as "can do!"

I am dynamic.

I am becoming more and more energetic.

My parents wanted me to be industrious, and my productivity is an honor to their desires.

My friends know me to be hard-working.

My family sees me becoming more and more inventive.

My parents are proud of my business-like life.

My enterprising habits are an asset to my community.

Those I work with are delighted that I am becoming more and more unflagging.

I am not afraid to work six days in a "TGIF" culture that watches the clock, waits to vacation, and works only to party.

My desire to be laborious pleases God.

I am committed to becoming more and more ambitious.

People around me can depend on me to be a worker.

The Spirit gives me sabbatic rest and empowers me continue working.

I often think about how I can be more workman-like.

I appreciate diligence.

My spirit reverberates with accomplishment.

My conscience knows the value of work.

I have a natural affinity with activity.

Being industrious is a real passion with me.

These words resonate in my being; I use them often:

  • hard-working
  • energetic
  • inventive
  • laborious
  • dynamic
  • unflagging
  • workmanlike
  • enterprising
  • ambitious
  • spirited
  • active

just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,
-- Ephesians 1:4-5

O how love I Thy Law! it is my meditation all the day. Thou through Thy Commandments hast made me wiser than mine enemies. I have more understanding than all my teachers: for Thy Testimonies are my meditation.
-- Psalm 119:97
